NETWORK ENGINEER

As a member of the network team, you will be (jointly) responsible for the design and architecture of all network-related aspects. This can vary from data center backbone networks to offshore wind farms.

e-BO Enterprises (Ypres and Ostend) is active in the field of software engineering, networking, security, cloud computing and infrastructure management. We create full-service solutions for the corporate world, public safety (fire department, police, prison system) and on & offshore wind farms. We already have more than 100 employees with a nose for innovation, a passion for technology and an unstoppable drive, but we still lack some network engineers.

Your job content

As a member of the network team, you will be (jointly) responsible for the design and architecture of all network-related aspects. This can vary from data center backbone networks to offshore wind farms.

Your tasks will include the execution of escalations and project tasks:

  • The maintenance and service of operational, production-related network devices
  • Efficiently searching and solving network problems
  • Creating transparent and easy to understand technical documents for multiple purposes
  • Making targeted decisions for the further technological development of the infrastructure and networks
  • Managing and maintaining the network access
  • Paying due attention to all security aspects within your domain
  • Participating in new innovative technological projects
  • Following the agreements made within e-BO’s Management system

Experience and skills:

  • Master education – equivalent through experience is also possible – and a passion for network technologies: IT infrastructure, server technology and security.
  • IT knowledge: network and server technology
    • Knowledge of at least 2 of the following technologies: Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Juniper, Hirschmann, Zabbix, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), SSL VPN (Fortinet)…
    • Technical knowledge in the following domains is an asset: BGP, OSPF, SNMP, Multicast Routing, VRF-lite, IKEv1 IPSec, VMWare vSphere, SAN/vSAN experience, Python, Bash, Web filtering, NAC, dot1x, IDS, IPS…
  • Language skills: Dutch and English (oral and written), French (good knowledge)
  • Knowledge of computer science: MS Office and specific function-related computer tools
